Birdie Release Notes V2.0.1
Jan 24, 2026
Welcome to the January 24, 2026 update. We’ve spent the last few weeks building a digital "Locker" so you can finally organize your golf life better than you organize your garage. We also made it easier to join the club and—god forbid—delete your evidence if a round goes particularly sideways.
The "Locker" is open
We moved the furniture. The "Log Out" button has been evicted from the header and replaced by the Locker. It’s your new command center for everything that isn't a chunked 7-iron.
Identity Crisis? Fixed. Update your display name and email without needing a support ticket.
The Metric System (or not). Toggle between Yards and Meters. Choose "Automatic" handicap mode if you trust the math, or "Manual" if you like to lie to yourself.
Home Turf Advantage. Set your home course so the Lab stops asking where you spend all your Saturdays.
Take Your Data to Go. Export all your rounds to a CSV. Perfect for showing your coach exactly why you’re a "work in progress."
The Danger Zone
Sometimes, you just need a fresh start. We’ve added tools for when the data is too painful to look at.
The Nuclear Option. You can now wipe all rounds, shots, and clubs. It requires a double-confirmation, because we want to make sure you really want to forget that 112 at Pebble Beach.
The Clean Break. If you need to leave us, the new account deletion flow scrubs your data and cleans up the whitelist. No hard feelings. (Actually, maybe a little).
Club Membership 101
We’ve automated the "secret handshake." Getting into Birdie Lab is now smoother than a pro’s tempo.
Verify to Play. New signups are automatically added to the whitelist as "pending." Once you verify your email, the system promotes you to "active."
Seamless Migration. If you change your email, your whitelist status follows you. We’re smart like that.
Boring Tech Stuff (The "Under the Hood" Bit)
Our developers have been drinking a lot of coffee to make the app feel like a $1,200 custom-fitted driver.
Audit Trails. We added server timestamps for activation history.
Cloud Magic. New functions handle whitelist maintenance and email migrations so you don't have to.
Git Cleanup. We tidied up the codebase because a messy house leads to messy bogeys.
