Join the Lab: We Need Lab Rats (And Their Bad Rounds)

Jan 3, 2026

Real talk: Your game is a perfect mess. We love that about you.

Most golf apps are built for the guy who spends four hours a day at the range and actually knows what "Strokes Gained: Off-the-Tee" means without googling it. Birdie Lab is different. We’re building this for the 22-handicapper who just wants to stop hitting it into the drink on the signature par 3.

But to make our "Ego Check" strategy bulletproof, we need data. Not just any data—we need your data. The chunked wedges, the three-putts from 10 feet, and the rounds where you stopped counting after a quadruple bogey.

Why join the experiment?

We are looking for a few brave souls to become our official Lab Rats. As a member of the inner circle, you’ll get to break things before we officially launch.

  • Early Access to Insights: Be the first to see your average 18-hole score and performance trends on our dashboard.

  • Identify Your Nemesis: Use our Course Registry and hole-by-hole analysis to find the specific hole that ruins your Saturday every single week.

  • The Bag Analytics: Stop guessing your yardages. Use our gapping tables to see the "Truth" about how far you actually hit that 7-iron.

  • Clean Up the History: Bulk import your legacy CSV files and see your progress (or lack thereof) visualized over time.

How it works

It’s a simple "scorecard-first" workflow. You give us the raw data from your rounds—either via CSV upload or our manual form—and we turn it into actionable insights. No complex spreadsheets, no "Big Golf" jargon. Just the facts.

Help us build the tool that finally tells the truth about amateur golf. Your ugly scorecards are the key to everyone else's improvement
